JUDGMENT

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Additional Government Pleader for the appellants and Mr.H.Mubarak Jan, learned advocate for the respondent/original writ petitioner.

2. The appellants assail the order passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court thereby directing the present appellants to decide the claim of the respondent/original writ petitioner for issuance of patta without insisting for no objection certificate from the Assistant Commissioner (Urban Land Tax).

3. The learned Single Judge has come to the conclusion that the possession vests with the present respondent/original writ petitioner.

The Tamil Nadu Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1978 stands repealed in the year 1999. After the order is passed by the learned Single Judge, patta has been issued in the name of the present respondent/original writ peitioner.

4. We do not find any error on the part of the learned Single Judge in passing the impugned order.

The writ appeal as such stands dismissed. There will be no order as to costs.
