PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records of the second respondent in connection with order of detention passed in his proceedings R.C.No.64484/2023 dated 16.10.2023 directing the respondents herein, to produce the detenu Karthikeyan @ Luna, S/o.Nagarajan, aged about 23 years, who is detained under Act 14/82, now confined in the Central Prison, Cuddalore, before this Court and set aside the detention order and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.6637, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 27.11.2023, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
