ORDER
The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay the petitioner interest at the rate of 18% per annum, for the period of delay from 01.04.2020 to 01.06.2021, in paying the amounts paid towards his terminal and pension benefits of the petitioner, namely EPF Employee's Contribution, Gratuity, encashment of leave and commuted value of pension, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court and without affecting his right to claim balance amounts towards those benefits.
2. The petitioner was appointed/working as Conductor in the respondentCorporation from 21.11.1986. After completion of 34 years of service and finally working as Traffic Inspector with Staff No.86TS1012790 in the respondentCorporation, he retired from service on 31.03.2020 on reaching the age of superannuation. But only after passing of more than 1 year, he has been paid with the terminal and pension benefits, without interest for the delayed payment of the same and hence, the petitioner is forced to approach this Court praying direction to the respondents to pay the interest amounts. 2 / 4
3. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is issued to the respondent to determine the eligible benefits payable to the petitioner and after determining that particular amount, to pay the same to the petitioner together with interest @ 6% per annum from the date on which the petitioner had retired from service, till the date of actual disbursement of the amounts.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
