O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking modification of condition imposed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu while granting anticipatory bail to 1/3

the petitioner herein with condition to deposit a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the credit of this case in Cr. No.282 of 2023 on the file of learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Chengalpattu.

2. The brief facts of the case would reveal that the petitioner had been working in the house of the defacto complainant since when she was 10 years old, for the past nearly 25 years. At this stage, it is alleged that she had stolen jewels from the house of the defacto complainant. The learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chengalpattu had imposed a condition that a sum of Rs.50,000/- has to be deposited.

3. Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner had been rendering her service in the house of the defacto complainant for nearly 25 years and suddenly this case has been foisted against her, this Court is inclined to modify the condition to that the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to the credit of Cr. No.282 of 2023.

4. Time is extended to deposit such amount and to execute sureties till 12.01.2024.

5. Accordingly, this petition is allowed.
