PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to rectify the mistake of Survey Number instead of S.No.457/4 part it is wrongly mentioned as S.Nos.454/1B and 454/3 in the Doc.No.3303 of 1992, dated 30.03.1992 on the file of the SRO, Ambattur, by way of Rectification Deed.

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to rectify the mistake of Survey Number instead of S.No.457/4 part, which was wrongly mentioned as S.Nos.454/1B and 454/3 in the Doc.No.3303 of 1992, dated 30.03.1992, on the file of the SRO, Ambattur, by way of Rectification Deed. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that there is a mistake that had occurred while mentioning the survey number, while purchasing the above said property in the year 1992 under registered Sale Deed in Doc.No.3303 of 1992, dated 30.03.1992, and to rectify the same, the present Writ Page No.2 of 5

Petition is filed before this Court.

If the document was registered wrongly, the Revenue Authorities cannot rectify the mistake committed in the registered Sale Deed and it is up to the parties to rectify the mistake happened in the registered document by executing rectification deed. Therefore, the petitioner is not entitled for the relief. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. 4.
