ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to take steps to provide job assistance to any one of the members of the petitioner's family.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is qualified with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. The land owned by the petitioner's family were acquired by the Government for establishing sugar mill in the year 2006. At the time of acquisition of lands, the petitioner's family were assured for Job Assistance in the second respondent Unit. Now, after acquisition, the second respondent has two units in the petitioner's village. Though the second respondent provided job for other villagers, the petitioner was denied for employment. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the first respondent.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the second respondent

is directed to consider the request made by the petitioner for providing job assistance, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on merits and in accordance with law.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
