(Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.) This petition is filed by the District Forest Officer, Chennai Forest Division, to implead him as one of the respondents in the above writ appeal.

2. The District Forest Officer in the affidavit filed in support of this writ appeal has stated that the land in particular survey number was highly affected and submerged during the previous rainy season and it is not accessible by the public. It is contended that the land exists as swamp land. He also relied upon the revenue records prepared during UDR to show that the land has been registered as Perumbakkam Reserved Forest.

3. Even though the truth of the averments are not considered at this moment, having regard to the stand taken by the District Forest Officer, without going into the merits of his contentions and the credentials of other statement made in the affidavit, this Court finds that this petitioner can be impleaded as a respondent in the above writ appeal and this petition is ordered.
