ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 23.09.2019, seeking for re-computation of his pension with effect from the date of his retirement and for payment of the arrears of pension with interest.

It is seen from records that the petitioner was working in the 1st respondent bank from the year 1976. The petitioner retired in the year 2002 as a Senior Manager. According to the petitioner, he is entitled for the benefit of the Judgement of 1/2 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the Hon'ble Supreme Court in [Bank of Baroda Vs. G.Palani and others) in Civil Appeal No.5525 of 2012 and according to the petitioner, the benefits were extended to employees, who were similarly placed. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 23.09.2019 to the 1st respondent seeking for re-computation of his pension. Since the same has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 23.09.2019 and to pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation along with copy of this representation dated 23.09.2019 and also a copy of this order to the 1st respondent. 5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
