Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose the petitioner's Arrears Bills representation dated 17.02.2023 and 07.02.2024 for Rs.11,51,710/- being legal fees and traveling allowances pending on the file of the respondent in accordance with law.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to consider his representations dated 17.02.2023 and 07.02.2024 claiming legal fees to the tune of Rs.11,51,710/- and pass final orders in accordance with law.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he had been engaged as a legal Advisor in Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board from 11.08.2011 to 29.04.2022. He represented the board before various forums such as Tambaram, Alandur, Poonamallee, Thiruvallur, Ponneri, Ambattur, Thiruvottiyur, Waqf Tribunal, Labour Tribunal, Fast Track Court, Consumer Court etc., It is the specific case of the petitioner that a sum of Rs.11,51,710/- is due from the respondent as legal fees and travelling allowances. In this regard, he submitted two representations on 17.02.2023 and 07.02.2024 seeking payment of arrears and the same has not been considered till dated. Thereafter, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. M/s.K.Indumathy Venkatesh, learned Counsel, who takes notice for the respondent would submit that the representations of the petitioner will be considered on its own merits in accordance with law. 2/4

In view of the above submission made by the learned Counsel, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 17.02.2023 and 07.02.2024 and pass final orders, on it's own merits, and communicate the same to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
