PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the written representation letter dated 16.72024 and consequently direct the respondent to issue a patta for the property by name RCC house bearing Old Door No.263/A, New Door No.524, North Vellore Town Revenue Ward No.1 (Municipal Ward No.18), Corporation Ward No.16, T.S.No.1467 in Saidapet Main Bazaar Street within Vellore SRO Joint-1, Vellore Registration District and Vellore District in favour of the petitioner within a time period and fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner submitted a representation dated 16.7.2024 to 1/4

the respondent seeking to issue patta in his name for the property going by the name RCC house bearing Old Door No.263/A, New Door No.524, North Vellore Town Revenue Ward No.1 (Municipal Ward No.18), Corporation Ward No.16, T.S.No.1467 in Saidapet Main Bazaar Street within Vellore SRO Joint-1, Vellore Registration District and Vellore District. However, the said representation has not been processed. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate accepting notice for the respondent.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that after the said representation dated 16.7.2024 has been submitted, the petitioner has not been visiting with any notice of inquiry and that it seems to have been kept in cold storage.

4. Considering the limited nature of the relief, the writ petition is allowed and a Mandamus is issued to the respondent to consider the said representation of the petitioner dated 16.7.2024 and after hearing all the parties, pass a speaking order within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 2/4
