PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct respondent to give necessary police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her family members to live peacefully at petitioner's house on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2019.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed to give police protection to the petitioner and her family members.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the persons who deposited the amount in S.M.A Traders (chit funds) at the Deepak Nivash Complex, the petitioner and her family members to pay the amount. He further submitted that the petitioner is in no way connected with the said money transaction. Therefore, he prayed to direct the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family members.

3. Per contra, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the petitioner's father has conducted chit funds and collected the amount from various persons and cheated them and the subscribers are demanding to re-pay the amount and hence, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking Police Protection and therefore he prayed to dismiss the petition.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to order Police Protection. However, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's complaint and if the enquiry reveals any congnizable offence he has to register the case against the accused persons and proceed further in accordance with law.

5. With the above directions, this petition is disposed of.
