The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 406, 420 and 294(b) and 506(i) of IPC, in Crime No.556 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant and the petitioner's mother/A1 have entered into an lease agreement and the defacto complainant had also paid a sum of Rs.9,00,000/- to her. However, after receiving the money, A1 has refused to hand over the possession. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court by order dated 23.12.2022 has granted an order of interim anticipatory bail with the following condition that "the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- to the credit of Crime No.556 of 2022" thereafter and had directed the matter to be listed today i.e., 19.01.2023.
