The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 18.06.2017 in accordance with law and provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members for attending the Akni Veeranar Temple festival will be held on 20.07.2017 and 28.07.2017 at Sannasi Nallur, Senthurai Taluk, Ariyalur District.

2. The petitioner seeks police protection for his family members to attend temple festival. Now, almost two years have https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.

3. With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
