O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue Joint Patta to the petitioner in respect of his property in S.F.Nos.266/1 and 268, Vellaore Village, Coimbatore District, measuring an extent of Acre 2.13 cents of agricultural land based on the representation dated 19.12.2016 after receiving all the necessary charges as per law.

2 Though the petitioner has given the representation as early as on 19.12.2016 for issuance of patta in respect of the property mentioned above, the 1st respondent has not passed any order sofar.

3.Ms.A.Mathumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1to 3 submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioners' representation and pass orders in accordance with law, within a time frame.

4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' representation dated 19.12.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
