The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of investigation/enquiry.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that under the pretext of enquiry, the respondent Police are unnecessarily harassing the petitioner. The Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, submitted that based on the complaint given by the third respondent, who is the wife of the petitioner, a CSR was registered. The respondent Police conducted an enquiry and closed the same based on the report given by the Social Welfare Officer that there was no demand for dowry.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.
