ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction against the 3rd respondent to constitute a Special Investigating Team under the supervision of any higher level officer consisting of the persons having knowledge in
Corporate Finance/Accounting/Banking to conduct Forensic Audit or Financial Investigation and submit a Report before the concerned jurisdictional Court. 2.On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the investigation in Crime No.269 of 2017 has already been completed and a final report has also been filed and the same has been taken cognizance in C.C.No.306 of 2022 on the file of the XV Metropolitan Magistrate George Town Chennai. While the trial was pending, the 6th respondent filed a petition before the Trial Court seeking permission to conduct further investigation and it was also allowed. Thereafter, the 6th respondent appointed auditors to conduct Forensic Audit and also Financial Investigation in Crime No.269 of 2017.
The Forensic Audit and the Financial Investigation have also been completed up to Stage-I. 3.In view of the above submissions, the 6th respondent is directed to complete the further investigation and file an additional final report, if any, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
