This writ petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the second respondent herein to give police protection for inspecting the petitioner land to fix boundaries with the help of taluk surveyor.
2. Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the first respondent. Mr.L.Baskaran, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the second respondent. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the properties comprised in S.No.203/8E measuring an extent of 0-7.00 Ares, S.No.204/16A an extent of 0-5.50 Ares, and S.No.246/3B an extent of 0-3.50 Ares and S.No.246/6A an extent of 0-2.00 Ares and S.No.246/6B an extent of 06.00 Ares and S.No.263/512 an extent of 0-17.00. The petitioner had take out an application for surveying of the aforesaid properties. When the surveyor came to the site for fixing the boundaries, the petitioner's brother and his sons, who are the adjacent land owners, threatened the 2/6
petitioner not to fix any boundaries. Hence, he sent a representation dated 11.08.2025 to the second respondent, seeking police protection for the survey. Since the petitioner's representation was not considered by the second respondent till date, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
4. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent would submit that they would carry out a survey and fix the boundaries within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
5. It is further submitted by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the first respondent that in case police protection is required they would request the 2nd respondent. When this was pointed out, the learned Government Advocate, Mr.L.Baskaran, appearing for the 2nd respondent would submit that if any such request is made adequate police protection will be granted.
6. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the 3/6
direction to the first respondent to carry out a survey and fix the boundaries, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving prior notice to the petitioner as well as aggrieved persons, if any. It is open to the first respondent to request for police protection before the 2nd respondent. If any such request is made the 2nd respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection for conducting the survey. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
