ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to give bandhobasth and permission for conducting the Cultural dance program (Adal Padal) in the event of Thippam Palayam Village Sri Makali Amman Kovil Thiruvizha at Thippam Palayam Village, Chennimalai Via, Perundurai Taluk Erode District, on 05.01.2023 between 6 pm to 11 pm based on the petitioner's representation dated 19.12.2022.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct cultural programme on 05.01.2023, from 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m., in the Temple Festival of Thippam Palayam Village Sri Makali Amman Kovil Thiruvizha at Thippam Palayam Village, Chennimalai Via, Perundurai Taluk Erode District, the petitioner has sent a representation, dated 19.12.2022 to the respondent. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side), appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.
4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.
5. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a circular memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.12.2022 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.
