ORDER
The petitioner who is a senior citizen, aged 84 years, filed this writ petition praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to take appropriate steps as per Section 4 of Senior Citizen Act and protect them legally and not to disturb the peaceful possession of the senior citizens (petitioner and her husband) and consequently declare the sale deed null and void, executed in favour of 4th respondent, Mrs.Induja bearing Document No. 2384 of 2023 dated 08.04.2023.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a 2/5
complaint dated 18.08.2025 has been sent by her to the Chief Minister's Special Cell and copy of the same has been marked to several higher officials, including the District Collector, Erode praying for early consideration and to take criminal action against her own children under the Senior Citizens Act. 3.
Dr.T.Seenivasan, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for R1 and R2, would submit that even as per the averments made in writ petition, the complaint has been sent only on 18.08.2025 and the petitioner has rushed to this Court within a short span of time.

Heard both sides.

Though a larger relief has been sought by the petitioner, this Court is of the view that it is suffice to direct the first respondent to conduct proper enquiry based on representation dated 18.08.2025, and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner.
