PRAYER Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 to 4 to remove the illegal encroachment made by the 5th Respondent and his family members in "Vari Poromboke" Government Land comprised in S.No.644, situated at Simananputhur village, Simanaputhur Post, Kumaran Taluk, Tirupattur district which is classified as Vasi Poramboke.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.Subramaniam J.) The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions would submit that the Revenue Authorities conducted survey in the subject property and identified encroachments. A report also has been submitted by the Tahsildar to the Block Development Officer for initiation of enforcement action for removal of encroachments. Thus, the petitioner is at liberty to pursue the matter before the Block Development Officer. The Block Development Officer has to follow the procedures as contemplated under the Act and Rules and remove the encroachments as expeditiously as possible.

2.With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
