Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the petitioner's husband Vijayakumar S/o.Madhu, aged 35 years, before this Court, who is now confined at Central Prison, Salem, set him at liberty and to call for the records pertaining to the order of detention passed in C3/D.O.No.127/2019 dated 18.11.2019 passed by the second respondent and set aside the same.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] The petitioner is the wife of the detenu viz., Vijayakumar S/o.Madhu, aged 35 years. The detenu has been detained by the second respondent by his order in C3/D.O.No.127/2019 dated 18.11.2019, holding him to be a "Drug Offender", as contemplated under Section 2(e) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [crl.side] appearing for the State. It is seen that the detention order in C3/D.O.No.127/2019 dated 18.11.2019 passed against the detenu viz., Vijayakumar S/o.Madhu, aged 35 years, has been quashed by this Court vide order dated 14.07.2020. In view of the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
