Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the Letter of Suspension in C.No.4156/SOEL/UG/S2/2024 dated 14.10.2024 passed by the 3rd respondent and to quash the same and direct the respondents to revoke the suspension.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order of suspension dated 14.10.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Pending writ petition, by way of interim direction dated 14.11.2024, the petitioner was permitted to appear in the upcoming semester examinations which commences on 15.11.2024. Accordingly, the petitioner had written the examinations. Thereafter, by an order dated 18.12.2024, the order of suspension dated 14.10.2024 was revoked. Subsequently, on the basis of a complaint containing various allegations, the petitioner was once again suspended on 31.07.2025, followed by another suspension order passed on 19.08.2025.

4. In view of the several complaints received from the students, an

Enquiry Committee was constituted under the Chairman of Mr.R.Singaravelan, Senior Advocate, to conduct a detailed enquiry and to submit its recommendations for taking appropriate action against the petitioner.

5. In view of the above, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition. However, the Enquiry Committee is directed to complete the enquiry, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and submit its report, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the report, the third respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks thereafter.

6. In the result, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
