The petitioner herein, who served in the Education Department as a 'Head Master' and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.06.2018, was granted pension vide order dated 11.06.2019. It was thereafter, the petitioner made a claim for regularizing the break period from 01.02.1990 to 01.05.1990, and the same was considered by the Respondent No.3, and a proposal was submitted through proceedings bearing e/f/vz;/1788-M6-2019 dated 23.07.2019. However, the said proposal is stated to be still pending before the Respondent No.1. Under those circumstances, the petitioner claims to have submitted a representation dated 28.12.2020 before the Respondent No.1, requesting for passing appropriate orders on the said proposal dated 23.07.2019 and to regularize the period from 01.02.1990 to 01.05.
1990 for the purpose of pensionary benefits in terms of G.O (Ms) No.408, Finance (Pension) Department, dated 25.08.2009 and also in terms of various orders passed by this Court. However, the said representation is stated to be still pending before the Respondent No.1.

2. Mr.K.H.Ravikumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that the writ petition can be disposed of, directing the Respondent No.1 to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 28.12.2020 submitted by the petitioner.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondent No.1 to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 28.12.2020 submitted by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. 20.12.2024 skr
