The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners for selection to the post of Assistant Surgeon (General) based on merit in the selection, consequent to the Notification dated 10.11.2016 issued by the first respondent as per examination conducted on 12.02.2014 and to allow the petitioners to participate in the counselling for appointment to the post of Assistant Surgeon (General) based on merit in selection.
2. As there was no representation for the petitioners on 12.01.2024, this writ petition was posted on 02.02.2024. When the Matter was listed for hearing on 02.02.2024, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioners and hence the matter was posted on 16.02.2024 under the caption ''for dismissal''. Today, the case is listed for hearing under the
caption "for dismissal" but today also there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. It appears that the petitioners are not interested to proceed with the matter.
3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non prosecution. No costs.
