O R D E R

The Writ of Mandamus has been instituted to forbear the respondents 1 to 3 from granting of any Stone and Gravel Quarry License in favour of the 4th respondent in respect of Survey Nos. 699/2 and 699/3 in Magaral "B" Village, Walajabad Taluk, Kanchipuram District based on the petitioner's representation dated 27.10.2023.

2. The relief as such sought for is absolutely misconceived. In the event of granting any license in an illegal manner, then alone the petitioner would hit a cause for the purpose of institution of the petitions. Such general relief to forbear the respondents from granting license cannot be considered by this Court. In the event of issuing any such license in an illegal manner the petitioner is at liberty to adjudicate the same in the manner known to law.

3. With these observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 02.04.2024 Jeni Index : Yes Speaking order / Non-speaking order To 1.The District Collector, Kanchipuram District.
