The petitioner/A4, seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.75 of 2023 registered by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 6, 24(1) of COTP Act, 2003 and 328 of IPC.

2. It is stated that on 12.10.2023, A1 and A2 were found in possession of 538 kgm prohibited tobacco items. On the basis of the confession, the petitioner has been made as A4. It is the case of the respondent that this petitioner supplied the contraband. Naturally, the investigation will have to be done.

3. Taking into consideration of the huge quantity of contraband, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
