O R D E R

[Made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.,] With reference to the relief sought for in the present writ petition to remove the encroachments made by the street vendors / hawkers, including the respondents 4 and 6 in Theradi Street, Tiruvannamalai Town, Tiruvannamalai District, the learned Standing Counsel for the Page Nos.2/4

Tiruvannamalai City would submit that these hawkers / street vendors have not caused any obstruction to the traders occupying shops in that locality. The subject street has been permitted for vending by hawkers.

2. However, the learned Standing Counsel would submit that if any obstruction is caused to the traders occupying permanent buildings, such obstruction will be removed on receipt of a complaint from such traders.

3. It is made clear that the street vendors / hawkers may be permitted to do their business without causing any obstruction to the traders who are in occupation of permanent buildings. The Commissioner, Tiruvannamalai City Municipal, shall ensure that the street vendors / hawkers are not causing any obstruction to the traders in that locality.
