ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The grievance raised in this petition is that there is no proper drainage system for disposal of sewage water and it is flowing on the road.

2. Learned counsel for the Municipality submits that the Municipality has resolved to develop a drainage system.

3. We are surprised that residents, including the petitioner, have raised construction without there being any drainage system in place. Now that the petitioner and residents of the area are suffering on account of there being no drainage system, the present petition has been filed.

4. The Commissioner shall expeditiously make necessary arrangement for outflow of drainage water through proper drainage system.

5. Till a proper drainage system is developed, the respondents

shall also explore the possibility of having a temporary drainage system to allow outflow of sewage.

6. For that purpose, appropriate steps may be taken by opening temporary drainage on either side of the road along the houses. No resistance of the residents, including the petitioner, shall be allowed for developing the temporary drainage system.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
