Respondents Prayer : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 4th respondent to dispose of the petition filed by the petitioner in Na.Ka.A/1344/2022 within a time frame fixed by this Hon'ble Court by following the directions issued in the Order dated 07.03.2022 made in W.P. No.4061 of 2013 etc. batch cases.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a limited relief.

2. The petitioners seek for early disposal of their petition filed 2/5

before the 4th respondent seeking for conferment of permanent status as per the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workman) Act, 1981. The petitioners have filed the said petition on 18.08.2022.

3. Mr.S. Haroon Al Rasheed, learned counsel who has accepted notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the petition filed by the petitioners seeking for conferment of permanent status is not maintainable.

4. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the respective contentions. It is for the 4th respondent to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the 4th respondent, if a direction is issued to the 4th respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioners' petition dated 18.08.2022 seeking for conferment of permanent status within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 4th respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioners' petition filed on 18.08.2022 under 3/5

the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Establishments (Conferment of Permanent Status to Workman) Act, 1981 seeking for conferment of permanent status within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
