PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection in respect of the land comprised in Survey Nos.65/5A, 68/1A, 65/5B, situated at Koodalur Village, Harur Taluk, Dharmapuri District with the pipeline leading from common well to the petitioner land in the said Survey Numbers based on the petitioner's representation dated 07.10.2023. ORDER

The petitioner seeks police protection to draw water for irrigation from the common well.

It is alleged that the private respondents are objecting to draw water and therefore, there is already civil suit is pending and status qua granted in favour of the petitioner.

In the light of the above fact, the respondent police is directed to take note of the civil Court order and provide adequate protection to the petitioner herein to draw water, if his right to draw water from the common well is protected by the status quo order.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
