The petitioners seek amendments to the petition. The amendments prayed for are in the paragraph specifying the religion of the petitioners as Christian instead of Hindu and for deletion of Serial Nos.3 to 8 in the schedule of securities.

2. Learned counsel for the applicants states that the religion of the petitioners was inadvertently and erroneously specified as Christian instead of Hindu. As proof of the religion of the petitioners, the community certificate of the third petitioner is produced. The said certificate describes the third petitioner as Hindu - Kallar community. As regards the securities listed in the schedule, learned counsel submits that the securities listed under Serial Nos.3 to 8 of the original schedule have been surrendered and that the only securities in respect of which a succession certificate is required are the securities listed under Serial Nos.1 and 2. rna consequence, the cumulative value of the securities requires downward revision.

3. Upon considering the above submissions, this application is liable to be and is hereby allowed as prayed for. Consequently, the petitioners are directed to carry out the amendments on or before 27.01.2023.

4. List the matter before the learned Master for recording evidence on 01.02.2023.
