ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Writ of Mandamus seeking a direction to the 3rd and 4th respondents/The Assistant Executive Engineer and the Assistant Engineer [Operation and Maintenance] TANGEDCO at Porur and Manapakkam respectively to grant electricity connection to the house of the petitioner situated at No.13, Thiruveedhi Amman Koil 1st Street, Porur at Thiruvallur District.
2. In the affidavit filed, the petitioner had stated that she had constructed the house from hard earned money. She had shifted to the new house along with her family. She applied for electricity connection. The proof for applying for electricity connection has been enclosed along with the Writ Petition papers.
3. The petitioner had also paid the requisite charges of Rs.6050/- towards Meter Caution Deposit, CC Deposit, Development Charges and Service Connection Charges. She had also paid another sum of Rs.236/- 2/5
towards registration cum processing charges and also CGST and SGST on the same. She has thus paid the entire amount as required for obtaining service connection.
4. The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction that the service connection should be provided to the petitioner's house.
5. The 3rd and 4th respondents are placed under a direction to provide service connection in accordance with the rules and regulations. If any compliances has to be made by the petitioner, they may still provide the service connection, thereafter, call upon the petitioner to satisfy necessary compliances as are required. Service connection should be provided on or before 10.01.2023.
6. With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
