ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent to issue Legal Heirship certificate to the petitioner on the death of her son Murugan, by considering her representations dated 15.06.2024 and 27.06.2024.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that her son Murugan died on 19.01.2010 leaving his mother/petitioner herein, wife Sathiya and minor child M.Angel. It is further stated by the petitioner that after death of Murugan, his wife Sathiya remarried and the minor child is under the custody of the petitioner. The petitioner submitted representations before the respondents on 27.06.2024 seeking issuance of Legal Heirship Certificate and based on her representation, the first respondent herein sent a communication to the second respondent on
23.08.2024 in Na.Ka.No.Oo6/e 2373162/2024, directing him to conduct enquiry and to pass necessary orders. Inspite of the same, the second respondent has not conducted any enquiry and therefore, the petitioner has come before this court.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the counsel appearing for the respondents.
4. Inview of the fact that the first respondent already directed the second respondent to conduct enquiry on the representation submitted by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed. There shall be no order as to costs.
