ORDER

The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 27.07.2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 22(b) of NDPS Act, 2985 and 123 of BNS Act,2023 in Crime No.769 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that when the respondent police ins on regular check up they found that the petitioner along with other accused were in possession of Tepentadol Hydrochloride Tables to the tune of 48 box without any valid licence. Each box contains 100 tablets ( 10x10) totalling 4800 tablets Hence, this case.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that only based on the confession given by the co-accused the petitioner has been implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and sought for bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent while opposing the bail to the petitioner, 2/4

reiterated the prosecution case and submits that steps have been taken to detain the petitioner under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

In view of the above facts and the nature of the offence and the quantity involved in this case is very huge and steps have been taken to detain the petitioner under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982., this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. This Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed .
