ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.1007 of 2021 and to file the final report within the stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the FIR in Crime No.1007 of 2021 was registered on 06.07.2021, against the petitioner based on the complaint given by the then Executive Officer, alleging that when the petitioner was working as an Account in the Arulmigu Arunachaleswarar Temple, collected donations in the name of the temple and misappropriated the same. The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner has not committed any offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Further, registration of the FIR, the petitioner was arrested and thereafter, released on bail and he was also suspended from his service. The petitioner is put into much hardship and suffering in financial constraints. Even after a period of three years, the respondent police have not completed the investigation and filed the charge 2/4

sheet. Hence, the present petition is filed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police submitted that the investigation has already been completed and they are taking steps to file the charge sheet through online and only uploading process is pending.
