ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents herein to provide Police Protection (strong escort) to the detenue Thiyagu @ Thiyagarajan, son of Kumar, now confining at Central Prison, Vellore to the trial Court Kancheepurami in accordance with law.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner's husband Thiyagu @ Thiyagarajan, was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
arrested by the Sivakanchi Police on 18.11.2019, in connection with crime No.427 of 2019 for alleged offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 451, 294(B), 324, 302 and 506(i) of IPC r/w Section 4 of TNPPDL Act and Section 25(1) (a) of Arms Act and Section 4 of Explosive Substances Act, 1908. He further submitted that the said accused is having life threat and hence, at the time of producing the said accused before the concerned Court, strong escort to be provided or otherwise the enemies of the said accused may murder him.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that it is for the third respondent to decide what kind of escort has to be provided to the prisoner.
4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the third respondent is directed to provide necessary escort whenever the said accused person is being produced before the trial Court.
5. With the aforesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
