This miscellaneous petition has been filed by the petitioner to amend the prayer as "Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 to 3, to pay a sum of Rs.15 lakhs as compensation for the accidental death of T.Arujunan Joseph (Deceased), (husband of the petitioner) to the petitioner with interest at 12 per cent per annum from the date of filing of the writ petition till date of final payment within a reasonable time" instead of "Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to pay a sum of Rs.5 lakhs as compensation for the accident death of Accident death of Arujunan joseph (Deceased), the husband of the petitioner to the petitioner with interest at 12 per cent per annum from the date of the death till the date of final payment".

The learned counsel for the respondents 1 & 2 as well as the learned Government Advocate for the first respondent has not raised any serious objection for allowing this miscellaneous petition. 4.

Having regard to the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of this petition and this Court being satisfied with the same, this Miscellaneous Petition is allowed as prayed for. 5.

Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment in the cause title and list the main writ petition for final disposal on 21.01.2020.
