O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR registered in Crime No.493 of 2018 on the file of the first respondent police, for the offence under Section 366(A) of IPC.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent. Perused the materials available on record.

3. Based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the first respondent registered an FIR in Crime No.493 of 2018 for the offence under Section 366(A) of IPC, alleging that the second respondent had kidnapped her daughter. It is now submitted by the petitioner that her daughter had since married to another person. Hence, the petitioner seeks to quash the FIR.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in order to meet the ends of justice, continuation of the FIR proceedings would serve no useful purpose. Accordingly, the FIR registered in Crime 493 of 2018 on the file of the first respondent is hereby quashed. This Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
