Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents, their men, agents and subordinates to remove the encroachment in Town survey numbers T.S.No.50, T.S.No.61/1, T.S.No.75, Ward-B, Block-4, Gandhi Road, Arakonnam, Tiruttani Road pursuant to the orders in W.P.9817/2017 dated 31.1.2018.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Ms.R.Poornima, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

2. Learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submits that the survey has been conducted today in respect of T.S.Nos.50, 61/1 and 75. Encroachments have been noticed. He further submits that steps to remove the encroachments would

be commenced within one month from today and, thereafter, the encroachments would be removed in accordance with law expeditiously.

3. In view of the said statement, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.25591 of 2021 and 1239 of 2022 are closed. In view of the disposal of the writ petition, W.M.P.No.19587 of 2020 filed to implead the Tahsildar, Arakonam as 6th respondent is also closed. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 07.03.2024 Index :
