ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to provide electricity service connection to the bore well erected in the petitioner property comprised in S.F. No. 351/13A situated at Pilikanpalayam Village, Kabilar Malai Panchayat Union, ParamathiVelur Taluk, Namakkal
District through the 15 feet pathway comprise in SF. No.352/2B, 353/4A and 353/4B from the nearest existing electricity poll by taking police assistance from the respondents 5 to 8.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that despite the petitioner having submitted an application to the 1st respondent as early as on 06.09.2021 seeking to provide electricity service connection to the borewell erected to him in his land and despite no objection certificate from the Commissioner, Pilikalpalayam Village having been produced and Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.2,75,000/- having been paid, no electricity connection has been provided by the respondents 1 to 4 till date. On enquiry, he came to know that the 9th respondent has objected for erecting the pole in the common pathway, in order to provide electricity connection to the Petitioner. 2.1. Further, he would submit that already the 9th respondent obtained electricity service connection for his land by erecting an electric pole in the 15 feet common pathway and the respondents can very well draw the electric wire from the existing electric pole erected in 15 feet common pathway and electrify his bore well.
3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the petitioner sought to erect the electric pole in the common
pathway and since there was an objection from the 9th respondent and other neighbouring land owners, they were not in a position to erect poles in the common pathway and provide electricity service connection to the petitioner's bore well. However, now they are taking steps to provide electricity service to the petitioner's borewell by erecting the electric pole in the common pathway.

Recording the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, are directed to provide electricity service connection to the bore well erected in the petitioner's property by erecting poles in the common pathway, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the respondents 1 to 4 to seek police protection, if need arises.
5. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
