The petitioners/A2 to A5 who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 498(A) and 506(i) of IPC in Crime No.488 of 2022, seek anticipatory bail.

2. This matter came for the first instance on 23.11.2023, on which date it had been noted as follows:

"It is stated on behalf of the respondent that A1 had gone over to the house of his own wife/defacto complainant and told her that he live only with A5 who is a stranger to the marital wife and stated that if the defacto complainant wants to live with A1, then, she should pay money.

The learned counsel for the petitioner may get instructions as to who A5 actually is. Post the matter on 05.12.2023."

3. It had then been listed on 06.12.2023, 14.12.2023 and 08.01.2024. There has been no representation on behalf of the petitioner. It is evident that the petitioner is not interested in seeking any relief before this Court.

4. It is the case of the prosecution that the defacto complainant had married the 1st accused on 03.09.2021, but however, she had been driven out from the matrimonial house. It is stated that A1 had gone over to the house of the defacto complainant and stated that he would only live with A5.

5. Taking all the factors into consideration, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
