Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent/Police, on instructions, submitted that on completion of investigation in Crime No.436 of 2019 final report was filed through e-filing on 06.01.2024 vide e-filing No.LTN-20230001939C2024000015CC before the learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai.

3. Since the respondent/Police has completed the investigation and filed the charge sheet before the learned Magistrate concerned, nothing survives for adjudication in this Criminal Original Petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
