The petitioners seek anticipatory bail in Crime No.470 of 2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 7 r/w 24(1) of Cigarette and other tobacco products Act, 2003 and Sections 328 & 332 IPC. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side).

3.The learned counsel for the petitioners stated that contraband worth 648 Kgs of banned tobacco products were recovered from the house of A3. The petitioners herein/A1& A2 know A3 and they had unfortunately been at the house of the A3, at the time, the police searched that particular house and recovered the products. It is further stated that on the confession statement of the A3, the present petitioners had been implicated. The petitioners are innocent and they have no previous case. gd 4.These are aspects which have to be investigated. It has to be found out, from where the contraband came, who financed its purchase and under whose authority they were kept in the house of the A3. 5.In view of that particular fact, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
