This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the Charge Sheet in C.C.No.1359 of 2022 on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate No.XVI, George Town at Chennai.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that there is a delay in filing the final report. That apart, the final report filed by the 1st respondent police does not indicate specific charges against the accused in the case. On these grounds, the learned counsel prays for quashing the proceedings in C.C.No.1359 of 2022 on the file of the learned Metropolitan Magistrate No.XVI, George Town at Chennai.

3.After hearing the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court expressed that it cannot subscribe to the views of the learned counsel for the petitioners and proceeded to dismiss the petitioner. Then, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this petition and he has also made an endorsement in the petition to that effect.

4. Permission granted. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently, connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
