ORDER
This writ petition has been filed in a nature of Certiorarified Mandamus seeking records relating to an order passed by the 2nd respondent, the Forest Engineer, Forest Engineering Division, Trichirapalli in Na.Ka.No.2487/2004/Va dated 07.06.2017 and to quash the same and direct the respondents to constitute an Empowered Standing Committee to resolve the claim of the petitioner.
2.The writ petition has been filed in the year 2017. It is informed that, subsequently, the Empowered Committee had been constituted and after constitution, they had also examined the disputes relating to the work of improvement and black topping of road between Pudurnadu to Singarapettai. The Empowered Committee had also passed an award on
23.06.2023 stating that the claimant is entitled for a sum of Rs.13,61,260/- together with simple interest at 9% per annum from 31.03.2012 till the date of actual payment. It was also contended that the claimant was entitled to receive a sum of Rs.2,90,875/-, which was claim No.8. It is stated that the work under the PMGSY - IV were executed by the Highways Department in entirety and completed by the Highways Department. 3.The leaned counsel for the petitioner stated that inspite of several further communication, the award had not been put into effect. 4.But however, the petitioner will have to workout the remedy for enforcement of the award in the manner known to law. The scope of the relief sought in the writ petition is extremely narrow namely, to constitute a Empowered Committee, which had been constituted and the award had been passed. No further directions can be issued. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
