Heard Mr. R.Priyakumar, Learned Counsel for the Respondents and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties.

There is no representation for the Petitioner when the matter is called at 12.12 p.m. today.

The Petitioner, while working as Braille Short Hand Instructor, had been transferred from Chennai to Kolkata by Order No. NIVH/RC/2017 dated 05.10.2017 passed by the First Respondent, which is challenged in this Writ Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

This Court at the time of admission on 27.10.2017 had stayed the impugned order.

Learned Counsel for the Respondents, on instructions, states that the Petitioner has retired from service on 31.07.2019 on attaining age of superannuation. He has also filed a memo dated 22.02.2022 to that effect, which is placed on record. In view of the aforesaid subsequent events after filing of the Writ Petition, nothing remains for further consideration in the matter.

In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
