PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass orders regarding genuineness of Kurumans (ST) community certificate of the 1st petitioner and his children namely 1) S.Prabhu, 2) S.Vijay and 3) S.Suriya issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Dharmapuri and order to direct the 3rd respondent to issue permanent community certificate to the petitioner's children that they belong to Kurumans (ST) Community in the meanwhile direct the 3rd respondent to accept the provisional community certificate of the 2nd petitioner dated 14.07.2021 for the appointment to the post of Agricultural Officer (Extension) as per Notification No.01/2023 dated 12.01.2023 on the file of the 3rd respondent. ORDER
(The Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J) The petitioners have filed this petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass orders regarding genuineness of Kurumans (ST) community certificate of the first petitioner and his children and also direct the third respondent to accept the provisional community Page No.2/5
certificate of the second petitioner for appointment to the post of Agricultural Officer (Extension).
2. When the matter came up for hearing on 23.01.2024, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that it was earlier informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the Provisional Certificate has been issued to the petitioners confirming the community status as claimed by them. Subsequently, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners sought for a direction to the third respondent to accept the provisional Certificate of the second petitioner for appointment to the post of Agricultural Officer. However, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent sought time to get instructions in this regard and hence, the matter was posted today.
3. Today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent reported before this Court that the petitioner's prayer will be considered in view of the confirmation of the community status of the petitioners by the Tamil Nadu State Level Scrutiny Committee, vide proceedings dated 22.01.2024.

4. In view of the above submissions, the third respondent is directed to accept the Provisional Certificate of the second respondent for appointment to the post of Agricultural Officer. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
