This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Principal Family Judge, Coimbatore to expedite the proceedings of the Maintenance Case in M.C.No.153 of 2022 and dispose of the same within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that respondent is the husband of the petitioner and the second and third petitioners are their children. The petition filed for divorce by the respondent is pending before the II Additional Sub Court, Coimbatore. The first petitioner had filed a case seeking maintenance for

herself and for children in M.C.No.153 of 2022 before the learned Principal Family Judge, Coimbatore. Due to regular adjournments sought by the respondent, the case has not proceeded further and the case is posted for arguments. Hence, seeks a direction to expedite the proceedings in the Maintenance case.

3. Considering the limited relief sought in this petition, without going into the merits of the case, the learned Principal Family Judge, Coimbatore is directed to expedite the proceedings in the Maintenance case in M.C.No.153 of 2022 and dispose the same within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
