Sekar @ Sivaraman v. State Rep. By
Crl.OP.No.26706 of 2023 Crl.O.P.No.26706 of 2023 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN,J.
The petitioner/A1, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections 6(1)a, 7(1)(a) of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, in Crime No.235 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.It is the case of the prosecution that on 03.07.2023, the respondent raided Rajan Lodge and rescued two women, who were used for prostitution. The petitioner herein is the owner of the lodge. It is stated that A2 & A3 were arrested and released on bail. But as the owner of the Lodge, if the petitioner had taken care, the entire offence would not have happened.
3. In view of that particular fact, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
