ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The allegation in this case is that on 13.08.2002, the accused protested against the Government college without due permission. A case was registered in Cr.No.1478 of 2002 on 13.08.2002 for the alleged offence under Sections 147, 341, 188 of I.P.C and Section 7(1)(a) of CLA ACT. The charge sheet was filed on 30.08.2003, and the accused have been facing trial since then. Thus, it can be seen that the allegations concern exercising the democratic right to protest. Given the context and nature of allegations, continuing the trial impinges on the right to a speedy trial of the accused. No useful purpose will be served by continuing the case.

mpl 3.Accordingly, the case in CC.No.800254 of 2015 of Judicial Magistrate No.II, Krishnagiri Taluk, Krishnagiri, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.
